Registration and Fees

The club playing fees are set by the Club Committee at the commencement of the season. The fees aim to cover as much as possible of the following: coaching, field hire for training and games, umpiring charges, association membership. All costs not met by membership fees are met by club fundraising activities, we encourage all club members to involve themselves in all fundraising activities to ensure our club has the funds necessary to achieve its goals.

There is also a payment required to Hockey Queensland/revsport as detailed below. This is charged to all players at every club. It is an annual fee and transferreable if you are changing clubs mid year.

Season 2026

On behalf of South West United Hockey Club - welcome to the 2026 Hockey Season! It's going to be another exciting year for SWU so sign up and join in the fun.

Registration will be open on 5th January 2026.

Our club fields team in both the male and female hockey competitions run by the Brisbane Hockey Association and Brisbane Womens Hockey Association. We have Turf and Grass teams that suit all ages and abilities from 5 yrs onward. We look forward to your participation in 2026.

We have continued to try and make our fees as affordable as possible and remain one of the cheaper clubs to play hockey for in Brisbane. We are still waiting on both BHA and BWHA to confirm their fees for 2026. We are aware that SHC have increased their fees for 2026. With this in mind as a Club we are offering 2025 fees for anyone who registers and pays in full prior 1st February 2026. All registrations revived after this date will be at the updated 2026 fees.

South West also offers discounts, please see our Discount Fees page for more information: https://www.southwestunitedhockey.org.au/discountfees

Remember to enable the Family Discount, ensure the Primary Contact and/or Emergency contact is the Senior Player(s) registered during registration (if the Parent(s) + Children option is used for the discount).

Please note that a separate Hockey Queensland (HQ) registration is required. The link should pop up at the end of your SWU registration. However, if it doesn't here is the link: https://www.revolutionise.com.au/swuhc/registration/

It is essential that the Hockey Qld registration is completed to make sure that you have insurance cover when playing. Failure to complete the Hockey Qld registration will prevent you from taking the field for season games and training.

Fee Policy

It is a condition of membership at this club that all fees are each individual player's responsibility. Failure to comply with our fee policy could result in a member being deregistered. This will result in the player being unfinancial, and ineligible to register anywhere in else in Australia.

Fees will be published and made available for members before the regular winter season commences. It is the responsibility of each Full-Time, or 10 Game Casual Player to adhere to the following:
  • Each player must pay a $250 deposit before 4th March 2026
  • The remainder of fees must be paid in full before 13th May 2026
  • Players are welcome to apply for a payment plan, but this needs to be advised and accepted by the Treasurer via email before the 4 March 2026
  • All players with approved payment plans must pay their fees in full by 31 July 2026. Any player that has not paid in full by this date will be deregistered with BHA/BWHA and ineligible to play in finals campaigns.
  • Any players with outstanding fees after 13 May 20256 and who do not have an approved payment plan, will be contacted via email notifying them of their lack of payment. Their Coach and/or Manager will also be notified. Players will be asked to pay their outstanding fees by 31 May 2026. If payment is still not received by this date, Players will not be able to take the field in a BHA/BWHA fixture until resolved. If no payment has been made by 31 May 2026, the club reserves the right to deregister the player with BHA/BWHA. The player, their Coach and/or Manager will be notified by email.

Each registering player has an obligation to fulfil their financial commitment to the club. The committee is more than happy to accommodate financial hardship, however, we will not tolerate non-payment, after nil communication by an individual player.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding registrations please contact the appropriate coordinator or the treasurer.
